

introduction
The FIAO Beacon After-School Program is a drop-in center where children can come in for specific activities offered throughout the week.
Participants are not obligated to come each day of the week. All children from the community are welcome to participate.
All activities and services are provided to participants at no charge.
facts about Beacon
F.I.A.O.'s Beacon Community Center is a collaborative effort of the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development "DYCD", F.I.A.O., IS
96 Seth Low JHS, and a host of community based service organizations throughout the New York Tri-State area.
Beacons are school-based community centers designed to establish save havens for community residents.
Children of all ages and their families who live, work, and play in the area surrounding the center are invited to participate.
These activities are offered during after school hours, evenings and weekends, six days a week all year round.
